  1. 100k miles! Thoughts on my Rivian R1T (owner's review)

We just hit 90K ourselves and Tug-E is still going strong (since June 2022)! Question to the OP - are you burro racing?
  2. Towing and Solar System Charging

Thank you! Are you anywhere between the Bay Area and Truckee? We'll be there late August/early September (truck only/no trailer, but always love talking about this stuff)
  3. Towing and Solar System Charging

We have 1500W of solar on our travel trailer roof, and we use the excess to level 1 charge our Rivian. In a good month (not too hot or cold, plenty of sunshine, time to manage the charging) we can send 30-60 kWh to the truck. It's not much but it's something. https://allelectricproject.com/ I...
  4. Current Travel Trailers / RVs you're towing - Reviews and Recommendations!

Love all of these! It's awesome to see so many people towing with their Rivians! We've been towing Howie (our house on wheels) with Tug-E (the truck) for almost 3 years now. I'd echo all the comments about ease of towing and things that affect efficiency and the benefit of charging at...
  5. What do you want addressed in the next OTA update?

We use the parking lights when we don't want to blind people, but I can see how fog lights might work even better. I second the "Rivian wink" idea! While I'm here, my #1 forever request: ODOMETER visible on the main screen so I don't have to hunt for it whenever we do a tire rotation
  6. Rivians doing work

Enjoying RAN chargers on the east side of the Sierras, towing our home
  7. How many different RAN Stations have you visited?

Just hit 20 recently with San Bernardino and Buttonwillow. Also Truckee, Phoenix, Gila Bend, Barstow, Flagstaff, Sacramento, Bishop, Inyokern, Holbrook, Salida, Sedona, Quartzite, Kingman, Las Vegas, Olancha, Lee Vining, Groveland, and Grand Junction. Love the RAN's! They work like a DCFC is...
  8. Regenerative Braking Too Strong: Dealbreaker for Me?

As far as I can tell from scanning the previous comments, no one has yet mentioned the safety aspect of OPD. Our reaction time is faster -- just lift your foot off the accelerator to begin serious braking, no need to lift and then shift to the brake pedal. I love OPD, just wanted to add...
  9. My Dog is Afraid of my R1T

A couple days ago we were driving our R1T down a quiet street when we saw a little dog on a leash go bats**t crazy -- spinning in circles like it was attached to a cordless drill. No idea if it was the sound of our truck or a parasite in the brain, but it was something to see!
  10. Current status of new RAN charging station near Yosemite National Park

Me too!! And it looks like it's up! We haven't been there to confirm (yet) but the Rivian charger website says it's open and there are PlugShare reports that it's on as of June 18. Let's go!!
  11. Current status of new RAN charging station near Yosemite National Park

I will be S0 happy if the Lee Vining RAN opens before we come through this summer!
  12. Towing data from two summers on the road with R1T & Travel Trailer

We agree - especially having our house with us. We can eat lunch, get online and do some work, even shower if we wanted to. And watch people shop at Walmart out our window...
  13. Towing data from two summers on the road with R1T & Travel Trailer

It is indeed a big brick! We were delightfully surprised to find that this works at all.
  14. Towing data from two summers on the road with R1T & Travel Trailer

Hello Rivian peeps! My husband John and I live in a travel trailer, currently wintering in Tucson. We tend to go on the road in the summer, and we're so pleased to have an electric truck to tow our home. It's not always easy to plan and travel with limited range between chargers, but for us...
  15. Car and Driver Long Term Review: We Put Our 2023 Rivian R1T to Work for Its First 10,000 Miles

"Plus, while it still doesn't reside permanently on the dashboard, it's easier to access the trip odometer for our own journaling needs." So it's not just me asking! Trip and total odometers, please
  16. “Send to Rivian” INOP after 2023.50.01 Update

Yes I had this problem, while it was working on my husband's phone. His phone has an older OS and can't do much else Rivian wise. Tried several reboots (truck software, phone) that didn't work. I just tried setting up a trip in the Rivian app and sending it to the truck and that worked. Now...
  17. What do you want addressed in the next OTA update?

Software reboot for the win! The next "send from phone to truck" took a few seconds but now the process seems back to normal. While I'm here, I'd like to add a new request: - Keep the previous climate control settings the same between driving sessions - including the back seat. I turn off the...
  18. What do you want addressed in the next OTA update?

Are we the only ones who recently lost the ability to share a Google Maps location from our phone to the truck? The phone says it worked but nothing happens. I believe I read that the next software update will have fixes for 2 other Nav system annoyances - keeping "North Up" in place when...
  19. What do you want addressed in the next OTA update?

Sure, because nothing else on our displays is ever distracting...
  20. What do you want addressed in the next OTA update?

Me as well! Seems like this should be so simple... and almost legally required?
