I'm happy to see this come to fruition. Before buying my R1, I drove 4 hours down to Portland for a test drive. I doubt many R2 buyers would be willing to do the same thing. Big opportunity for Rivian to grow their market share in the state.
Sorry to hear about your truck but glad to hear that everyone was ok. I had a minor parking lot collision about 3 months after picking up my R1S last year and have been through the process. If you have drivecam footage of the accident, it will aid the insurance process greatly.
Rivian has all...
This is probably a dumb question, but I have not seen it addressed anywhere yet - Does this adapter work with level 2 destination chargers and home chargers like a Tesla Tap?
These all look great. I really like that teal color on the R2!
Other colors that I would like Rivian to explore would be a darker, deep blue and a light tan/sand color.
I hope you're right and that your delivery rep is better informed than mine. When I picked up my R1S she said that the compact spare would be available "next week"...
I got the update last night and did my 20 mile morning commute in AP Soft (R1S 20" wheels). It soaked up the bumps on the surface streets much better and felt butter smooth. The old soft setting was very bouncy and stiff setting was a little harsh through this same stretch of road. No noticeable...
Slightly off topic, but has anyone received a vehicle without ever hearing from a Guide?
I picked an R1S from the shop a couple of weeks ago and have been working through the 8 steps. I have the VIN and just need a delivery date to finish everything up. No Guide contact so far though. I don't...
I just selected an R1S from the shop with a high 15XXX VIN. An email from Rivian indicated that it is still in Normal and will be at my local service center s00n.
GW/OC/20" Dark - I'm pumped!
I'm up north, about 65 miles from the SC. Maybe I placed my order earlier in the month (11/7/21) and we are right on the cusp of the March/April delivery time frame. I think I also remember reading that there is another SC opening in Tacoma and it might affect delivery timing for those of you...
We've driven up an down I-5 between Oregon and Washington in our ID.4 with very few issues using EA stations. Bonus - free charging for 3 years on the VW, although we mostly still charge at home out of convenience and trying to reduce wear and tear on the battery. Even with the ~250 mile range...
What I'm looking forward to is the day that the charging networks are built out enough that there is competition between vendors for pricing and quality/speed of charging. Imagine having an option on either side of an intersection like we do with gas stations today.
I'd like to know what it is actually like to drive around with 6 or 7 people loaded up and how everyone's experience is in each of the rows. Would it be comfortable to drive to Denver and back fully loaded with passengers?
