My 2025 R1S built in August 2024 has not had any noticable half shaft issues, but I never drive with the windows down... ?

Charge port door redesigned?
There was an RJ interview in Bloomberg 3 days ago. In some B roll they showed an R1T with a charge port door they hinged forward like a car door instead of presenting and then rotating.
Probably a wise change if it is real.
As a potential tick in the pro-heat-pump column -- during the Q3 2023 earnings call, RJ made a mention of HVAC "simplification" in context of the pending Q2 2024 shutdown. :fingers-crossed:

As I await my R1S configuration invite I'm keenly interested in this, so thanks for the updates. I'm hoping the dual motor architecture will have a redesign that is not susceptible to this problem.
