That is my view as well. It’s usable, barely, if you set the speed 5 mph under the speed limit…and get comfortable with your side mirror being 10 inches from a tractor trailer around curves. Thanks for the input.
The lane keeping is smoother/more centered around turns in your opinion?
Also, “auto lane change”, meaning you signal and it changes?…or is it like Tesla where it applies the signal and changes lane?
Gen 1 owner here with Drivers +. I’ve been searching the forums to see what improvements have been made to G2 vehicles currently in service - not having any luck? Any info on Autonomy improvements currently in vehicles appreciated.
Ask to speak with the manager. I took a post service survey and ripped Rivian for this BS. The service center manager called me to follow up and gave me his personal number. He basically agreed that if I live local then my truck shouldn't sit in the parking lot while I drive a rental car /...
I’ve had my truck three years…when does this drivers+ get better? I was informed Gen1 drivers+ isn’t supported going forward…on this forum.
maybe my 8th visit to the service center takes the shine off the price? You know…the SC where you have an appointment for Monday….and the truck sits in...
Not what I’m saying.
is the model y more plastic and this luxury - yes (they obviously save costs on something)
will the MY self driving try to kill me every ride home from work - no. My truck does.
if you think these vehicles are worth upwards of 6 figures - I strongly disagree…and so does...
These vehicles are overpriced and under delivered. My wife’s new Model Y…impresses with self driving functionality and ride quality. At current prices…you could buy a Model y and another ICE truck to actually beat the sh*t out of as a truck.

Just to clarify…I had a failure mode where my phone -AND- key fob wouldn’t work. The only thing that would work is the card.
I used to grab the fob as my phone backup…no more!
Yesterday my 1T wouldn’t go into drive with my phone. I used my key card. Today, with Rivian service on the phone, we spent 1 hour trying every combination of phone and vehicle resets/downloads. During this process, i grabbed my key fob to move the truck…that also didn’t work. What did work...
It appears to be the case for me as well. Last winter, I didn’t have any issues. This week was the first big snowfall this year…now it works again. Maybe a software tweak somewhere along the way to prevent false openings. IDK.
Since updating to 50.01, my charging door will not open via fender sensor. Open/closes normally with center screen. Tried the full reset and sleeping the truck for 30min.
anyone else experiencing this?….any fix?
This would be a great addition.
I will also add, the OPD has become more inconsistent when going downhill. Maybe temp has become more of a variable as software has progressed. Two years ago my 1T would require 10min of max regen before it became limited. Now, it might take 10min, or it...
yep, if I would have had more time I would have picked up the wheels and had Michelins mounted. I suspect they’d be smoother. The SC was the quicker option.…and I’m hitting snow season. Report back if you go that route as I’m leaning toward road tires after these off-road tires are worn.
I just switched today to 20” off-road w/pirellis.
The truck doesn’t feel as connected with the road and the steering wheel has some shake at interstate speed as compared to my 21s. Not gross…just not as smooth. I didn’t notice road noise.
The SC couldn’t update my truck to the 20s as...
RIVIAN - YOUR SERVICE CENTERS NEED FULL ATTENTION.
I took my R1T in for a new driver window seal. SC rep drives it around…then crawls across the center console and out through the passenger door. They say “your driver door latch has worn out - you need it replaced”. Ok…how stupid do you think...
