    Maybe. But after using it a lot, I found that I don't need to get into the bed that much. I use the gear tunnel a lot. :). I didn't want to use another piece of equipment with an extender. However, If I were to get an extender, I would be one that swings to the side so I can load things easier.

    Suggestion for your mount. Not sure if this would work, but would be great if it did. What if you placed an arm that went straight up towards the ceiling from where the ball currently is located and place the ball at the top of that arm facing toward the back seat?
