This is absolutely true per my experience this week at the Chelsea SC. Your mileage on this may vary, just a heads-up on what I was told by Rivian this week.

Just a word of warning on waiting on those cosmetic issues. I dropped my R1S off finally, after 9 months and 16K of driving for rear light recall, tire rotation, and a few cosmetic issues. I was told that cosmetic issues are no longer fixed unless they are brought up in first month of ownership...

I was surprised as well. I only knew about this program thanks to this forum. Yes, I wish more people knew about this program.

3017 spotted at Chelsea service center a couple days ago.

Its happening!!!! Scheduled my delivery today. I will be taking delivery of my R1S very close to the Chelsea service center on December 28th. Pretty darn excited!

Swung by the Chelsea SC last night as I was in the area. Lot is full of Rivians, both R1T and R1S in the lot! And many more inside! Plus there was a large transport truck delivering more! Latest R1S vin I saw there was 3017. Didn't find mine in the lot.......must be inside!

Thanks!! I am about 30 miles north of Chelsea. I have pretty much never changed my configuration. My configuration has always been Launch Green, Bright 22's, no underbody shield, BM interior. Additional information: I did cancel order, and then reinstate after the pricing fiasco.
