I just finished a first drive in the R2 at the Rivian South Coast Theater in Laguna Beach CA. Wow! I currently drive a Gen 2 R1S Quad and previously owned a Gen 1 R1S Quad. The R2 suspension in the Performance Edition is excellent. Plenty of power. Love the power window in the rear. First day...

Rivian is also a software innovator that is currently designing its own processors. The market will definitely reward Rivian stockholders if the execution goes well over the next few years.

Be patient. The market is waiting for actual sales to occur. I thing the pent up demand is obvious. Now Rivian needs to execute well, and they will.

I spoke with a Rivian rep at the Venice Block Party about this issue. He advised that it may be possible, however the delivery location and Zip Code are important. They do not want a person who made the reservation to become a broker. I would call them and see if they have any new information.

Spoke with Rivian rep today. He confirmed my configuration and advised that I would receive an email in June to finalize the order. He also noted that they were overwhelmed with calls about the R2 today.

Gen 2 has a nice storage drawer in its place. I keep the Camp speaker from my Gen 1 in the Frunk.

Used Autonomy + from Phoenix to Venice this weekend to attend the Rivian Block Party. It definitely made the drive more relaxing. BTW, The R2 is awesome in person!

I anticipated the parking issue and stayed at a hotel nearby so I could walk.
