Has anybody found a local tire shop that is approved to do alignments on our Rivians? Or is the Service Center the only option? I tried Les Schwab but they said they don't have the alignment specs for Rivian yet.
I did not have a standing appt already but have similarly had the ticket open since last year. Hopefully this means they start rolling out the fixes quickly. I expect they probably have some service blocks allocated to this type of warranty issue. They did say it's rather involved, would take a...
Powered Tonneau Cover replacements are starting! I was contacted by the Denver service center yesterday and have an appointment for next week to get it replaced. 🤞 the new design is long lasting. I have been missing having enclosed bed space for the last year+. Luckily with the frunk and gear...
Since my original post I did end up swapping out the offending LED bulbs and have chalked it up to cheap LED bulbs being the problem as I have not noticed this behavior since I changed the bulbs out.
Took our R1T over Mosquito Pass from Alma to Leadville this week. This truck is so capable, it was a blast crawling over rocks and making hairpin turns in one shot. I did end up dinging one of my wheels on a rock at some point (doh!) But what's the point in having a truck if you can't do truck...
Correct, when I start and stop charging from the app the flickering resumes or stops.
My mains circuit is 200A residential service. I have the charger on a 100A breaker serving a 60A breaker in a garage subpanel over about 60ft of 2/0 SER cable. It should be more than adequately sized to charge...
Has anybody found a good source of example EV compatible road trip suggestions from the Denver area?
I could start piecing ideas together using ABRP or otherwise, but thought it would be neat if there was a resource out there for known EV friendly road trip routes.
I imagine something like:

I have noticed that some of my light bulbs in the house flicker while the truck is charging. What is strange is it is only some of the LED lightbulbs.
Specifically noticed on bathroom fixtures and in the kitchen pendents.
I suspect these have the same lightbulbs which may be different from...
Has anybody attempted to take their Rivian on the ice at Georgetown Lake during a Sunday Funday or Ice Racing event? https://ourgangiceracing.com/sunday-fun-day-track/
I am curious how a heavy R1 would do on the ice with normal tires and the Rivian snow or drift mode active?
Eventually Rivian will turn off LTE connectivity without subscription. What will happen with Alexa if we don't subscribe to LTE in our trucks? Can I still use Alexa and Navigation but it will draw data from my Bluetooth connected phone?
Half the time Alexa can't get a strong LTE signal...
This happened to me on the Denver front range last week with an early season slushy snow storm. Seemed like every few miles it iced over. Luckily I was driving on reasonably well lit roads so didn't need to pull over like you might on some mountain passes.
Somewhat disappointed in the headlights and radar sensors getting covered within two miles of driving in some snowy weather. Not necessarily a Rivian specific problem but the newer LED headlights don't get hot enough to melt off any snow and then it ices over.
My Tundra had this issue as well...
I got a few quotes but my breaker box is on the other side of the house from the garage so they wanted $3k-$4k to do the cable run and install. I opted to watch a bunch of videos and install myself with a little help for the final connections from a handy uncle. Pulled a permit and had the city...
I took delivery of my R1T at the Denver service center in early September and I didn't need to do anything with the DMV. Rivian took payment and registered my vehicle and I received my Colorado plates and updated registration about 4 weeks later. Was a super easy process, and I appreciate not...
Installed a DIY bedrail using some T-slot extrusion to make a fork mount bike rack. It fits my XL frame 29er MTB if I angle it a bit, with the tail gate closed even. Used a simple fork mount. Just need to come up with a clever way to secure the front wheel in transit so I don't have to store it...
