Ridiculous fanbois drivel. The circumstances of any particular crash do not indicate safety. That Tesla cliff crash was not a direct drop and dissipated energy as various parts of the car hit parts of the slop on the way down, hence so many of the body panels being destroyed, but not the core...
Model Y "7 passenger version" has me crying with laughter. You must be some sort of paid Tesla promoter.

What a ludicrous and ill-informed statement. My Model X has been a reliability nightmare and could list my many problems, but I'd likely hit a character limit. Even if it was reliable, the build-quality is Fisher Price laughable compared to my Porsche and well behind other makes I've owned...
This is 100% a demand problem. I had such a miserable experience with my Tesla, I would never buy one regardless of how much they drop the price. Dealing with Tesla reliability problems and their awful service is enough to make you run forever.
I don't get it. I'm a July 2021 reservation holder for a quad-motor R1S and I have a mid 2024 delivery date. I'm in a major market. How could Rivian be delivering dual motors a YEAR before mine?
I have mixed feelings about Rivian, but my Tesla has been a complete piece of crap. But somehow me stating that is a problem? It's foolish? What are you getting at?
This is a trap. My experience with Tesla has been a complete mess. The cars are unreliable and Tesla service is terrible. You couldn't give me another Model X if you paid me.
Rivian is very tight inside for its exterior dimensions, which makes some sense given the beefy frame and offroad hardware. I can live with the compromised space efficiency, but they need to be realistic and make a long-wheelbase R1S to accommodate families who actually need to use the third...
I've read much about the compromised handling and ride of the R1S as compared to the R1T. My guess is this is all due to the shorter wheelbase. Rivian really needs to make an extended wheelbase R1S both to improve the ride quality and offer some additional legroom, perhaps with captains chairs.
I have no clue if Cybertruck will ever be made or if it would be profitable, but I know there's no way Tesla will ever get my money again. My Model X has been a reliability nightmare. Countless problems with the drive unit, doors, electrical gremlins and axles. I can't wait to unload it for a...
Rivian really needs to get a handle on this vampire drain. Alex on Autos reported alarmingly high vampire drain over the course of a week in almost ideal 70s temps. He had an F-150 Lightning and Kia EV6 parked next to the Rivian, and they suffered close to zero drain. I don't care if it's an...
I think the key missing feature is rear seat legroom. It seems might tight for taller folks like me. I would have liked to have seen 3-4 inches more in the 2nd row, maybe a smidge more in the 3rd row of the R1S.
Whoa, that Subaru was seriously wrecked. I hope the occupants are okay. This is one of the reasons I want the R1S for my family - the mass is a key safety feature. I just wish it had more legroom!
I suspect the packaging advantage of BEV's are exaggerated marketing. My Model X has a fairly thick battery pack, and it's smaller than the one in the Rivian. Same with the Taycan. I don't see how there's packaging advantages when you're sitting on a 8" thick battery pack under the entire...
I'm not saying it's less than the R1T, I'm saying I could use more space than my Model X and this is tighter than I'd hoped. I really wanted something with space more along the lines of at least a Kia Telluride (my SIL has one), which has several inches more legroom in each row. Given they make...
