I'm not so sure this is true. I have these GOAT sliders on our R1S and just had it in to the Rivian service center where they did a balance, rotate, and alignment for me. No questions asked and they didn't say anything about the sliders.

That's what I was expecting, but I don't see it. I can change the departure state of charge, but the drive mode is not changeable.

I installed this update on my phone, but I'm not seeing any obvious way to change the drive mode selection. It's still showing All Purpose and I don't see any way to change it. It would be odd for that to be tied to an update on the vehicle itself, but I guess it's a possibility.

Unfortunately, I think you're right on this. The positive is there is a light at the end of the tunnel... the negative is that tunnel is a bit longer than hoped. :)
