Not sure how y'all are getting such good trade in values.
Offer was $49k for my 22' R1T, with professional wrap since brand new. It's been a zero issue car.
To 'upgrade' to an R1S Dual Large (not even performance) it would still have been 35k+ out of pocket.
This. This is exactly what they should be doing. Full stop. I am also a business owner and have had to eat the costs when I've made a mistake. No one forced me to, but it was the right thing to do.
This isn't a human being making a mistake. It's a merchant.
That being said, If I make a mistake, I do expect to be responsible for that mistake lol. Why shouldn't I be? It's not punishment, its accountability. Punishment makes it sounds punitive. It's not, it's owning their mistake. What's to...
You are missing the point. The responsibility is on them to make it right, not on the consumer to pay the difference.
The literal only solution is for them to mail the parts missing from the invoice. Anything else is not a resolution.
YOUR solution is not a solution, even if you'd be happy...
Because this isn't one person selling to another. This is a company advertising a product. They are the responsible party. In a perfect civil society we wouldn't need laws to protect us but unfortunately, even if intentions are good, laws are there to push merchant transparency and accountability.
The right thing is for them to ship him the remaining parts free. Even a refund is unsatisfactory. This should prompt them to immediately update the site to fix the problem. Until it's fixed, they should be honoring it to everyone who buys it with the same messages. Otherwise they continue to...
All of you who are victim shaming are ridiculous. The seller has an obligation to advertise and price a product accurately. Any confusion is always going to be the fault of the merchant. Something that is simple or clear to one may not be to others, so get off your high horses and stop living in...
I don't have the cross bars on very often. But yes you'd have to remove them to rotate it. Otherwise you could just disassemble the parts that rotate and just pull it straight out and reassemble in the orientation you need, which would be pretty easy.
The number of stories like this makes me thankful I didn't get my second Rivian pre-order fulfilled. My R1T (vin ~11k) has been rock solid, so much so that the service tech was surprised to hear how low maintenance it has been when I took it in for service.
Massive safety issue and glad you are...
For some people (likely the 1%) there is a lot more to driving a vehicle than straight line acceleration and "efficiency".
Efficiency is in quotes because even with solar, in California with PG&E it's more expensive to drive the R1T than it is to drive our Mazda CX-90 w/ turbo inline 6...
I have had this exact thing happen to me a few times and it can be incredibly frustrating when it happens. There is no solution I've noticed but time. Typically by the next time I get in the truck and go it's resolved itself. It's like a syncing issue of some sort.
We're regretfully letting our second pre-order expire. Our financial situation changed and we didn't want to spend as much and have both our vehicles be EVs.
We ended up getting a cx-90 last year thinking we'd have longer to get the R1S but just a couple months after we got it they said we were...
I find it pretty useless, other than knowing my turn signal is on. The sound and me looking are plenty.
Besides, the display is blocked mostly by the steering wheel so I have to active slouch our lean forward to see anything on the video anyone. Completely useless update for me, but I'm glad...
