  1. My fellow SoCal owners and friends, stay safe tonight!

Just saw an R1T up in flames on GMA. Just horrible. And the LAFD was saying they can’t fight it with the winds being so strong.
  2. Munro Live: The Future of Rivian: Gen2 Enhancements & R2 talk with RJ Scaringe

Sandy is a legend in the automotive engineering industry. Companies pay him dumb money to tear down their vehicles to find things wrong with their current builds. Unlike many of his contemporaries, he has embraced EV's and loves them. I am sure RJ, at some point during his doctorate work...
  3. Tire wear with suspension in LOW

We cant? Im always in All Purpose and Standard. I never once have to set it again after I drive.

Any time anything on the screen gets glitchy, do an infotainment reset.
  6. Rivian reputation, what do non-Rivian drivers think about Rivians?

I have received nothing but positive reactions from people. I still get looks from people and when those people walk up to the car, they have nothing but compliments and positive questions. My neighbor though was less than impressed. He popped his head of his house when my R1T was being...
  7. Munro Live: The Future of Rivian: Gen2 Enhancements & R2 talk with RJ Scaringe

As a long time Munro fan, that's hard to watch. Munro has completely lost his objectvity fastball when it comes to the environment. RJ handled the Munro pseudosciece with grace and diplomacy but you could tell he was cringing on the inside.
  8. Thoughts on Peter Zeihan's latest blog post - Why EVs Aren’t The GreenTech Panacea

I don't know who this is or why his opinion matters but he's flat out wrong on just about every level (never mind the massive amount of typos in his diatribe). He's fallen in the trap of just because we don't have all the answers right now, then we should throw the baby out with the bath water...
  9. Carjacking- How to stop it?

Former LE here and avid supporter of 2A .... You let them have the vehicle. Assuming you're being car jacked, they already have the drop on you. You're at such a tactical disadvantage at that point, your best bet to survive is to comply. That's why we all have insurance. Yes, the vehicle can be...
  10. Rivian crashes into Hollywood restaurant [update: driven by Ferris Bueller's Day Off star Alan Ruck]

This wouldn't have happened if he had on high regen and simply drove with one pedal. There's simply no need to apply any break pressure when stopped at a traffic light.
  11. Carwash mode locked me out ...

There's still time to delete this thread
  12. Grumpy Rivian drivers no wave

I always flash the sign language “R”
  13. R1T Large Inventory Concerns?

we have the data straight from the proverbial horses mouth. all of the legacy auto makers are on record saying EV sales are slowing down. Elon, during his last earnings call, said the same thing. RJ will most likely say the same for their next earnings call.
  14. R1S Optimal settings for range

If you want to chew through tires fast, use conserve as your day to day mode. For optimum battery and tire health and still get decent range use all-purpose, high regen and lay off the juice pedal.
  15. Insight on wristband key availability / production

Yes please! I am shocked this hasnt happened already. RJ proudly sports an AppleWatch Ultra with the yellow band.
  16. Insight on wristband key availability / production

My Guide has told me several times the bands are only going to LE owners and once they have them, they're gone. They were never going to release them to anyone else. Not sure why some here are holding Rivians feet to the fire for something when they said they wouldn't expand who gets them.
  17. New garage open/close from steering wheel feature is awesome

Loving it so far. Perfect performance over the past two days.
  18. Valet parking a Rivian. Best practices? Which key to give valet?

Been using my card without issue. I do notice that my truck is always parked up front and in view each time, far more than my BMW ever was.
