Based on recent EPA filings, the 2027 Rivian R2 has a reported Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of approximately 6,173 lbs. This rating positions it above the 6,000 lbs threshold often required for certain business tax deductions, such as Section 179.
Congratulations everyone :)
Reviving this thread now that R2 was announced. As a business owner, really hoping
Gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) for R2 will land over 6000 lbs. When do we find out?
Thank you! I didn't know about the visualize option. Seems like what I am looking for is around 89K. I am seeing prices rapidly dropping on "used" R1Ts- I saw one for 99k. Might wait a few months and go that route...
I've had R1S on order for a while and I was still able to configure it at the time of order. I also decided to order R1T in June and unfortunately was not allowed to configure. I am looking for a ballpark current R1T MSRP post-March price increase. Can someone who ordered between March and June...
Am I? This is what OP stated:
FYI - as of 10/06/2022, Rivian is now charging customers a towing fee to and from a Rivian Service Center, regardless of reason for service center visit.
Seems like if the vehicle is not able to get to the SC on it's own for most reasons, that's a major break...
OK, but the point of this thread is that free towing is going away and the customer will be responsible for charges from now on. But I am glad your major break down had happen before this policy goes into effect.
Not fully true. My wife drives a G wagon (which I hate with passion now- waiting for Rivian to replace it) and check engine light comes on literally every month; they can't figure it out. Every month I get a loaner. No questions asked.
They are following in Tesla's footsteps VERY QUICKLY. Back in the day, you got a performance loaner every time car was in service. Then came the Uber credits. Now Uber credits are going away and are replaced with "same day service"- you can sit and wait for your car to get done or you can pay...
