I think you might be on the right track here. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a Gen 1 revision which keeps the same stacked design with a second motor, but later we get a Gen 2 version which is more like the Cybertruck (Retrax) design that wraps around the gear tunnel.
Let me start by saying that I don’t have any knowledge or specific information, but I’m thinking that the tonneau cover problem is bigger than it seems and may ultimately force some type of redesign of the gear tunnel. Let me lay out my case….
