  1. Took R1T on trip to Sedona for off-road trails and some great camping!

We have a 2013 Tesla model 3 long range with 70k miles, so I’m familiar with charging. But we live several months per year in an off-grid solar electric house outside Escalante Utah (with the 4Runner). Our solar array generates 8kwh electricity per day, of which we use -3kwh to run the house, so...
  2. Took R1T on trip to Sedona for off-road trails and some great camping!

What model R1T do you have? Is there anything shown that a dual motor would have trouble with? I need a max pack, so can’t get a quad motor. On the other hand, I have a 4Runner with 2-3” lift and don’t want less off-road capability.
  3. RAN Station, Escalante, Utah

We live part time in Escalante in an off-grid solar house. It would take us a month to charge an R1T, so I cancelled my reservation. If Escalante had a RAN charger, I’d be interested again. Access to the Tesla supercharger network as reported for Spring 2024 would clinch it.
  4. Upcoming Competition: 2024 Tacoma Pickup Design Leaked 📸

Our current vehicles are a 2014 4Runner (90k miles) and Tesla model 3 (60k miles). I'm on the waitlist for both an R1T and a Cybertruck, but I expect I will buy a 2024 hybrid Tacoma or 4Runner if they're as good as the hype. Here's why: As much as we prefer driving our model 3 to the 4Runner...
  5. Rivian drops Max Pack from latest post? 🤔

I'm holding out for a truck with a range of 400+ miles. We spend considerable time exploring Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. Our off-grid cabin doesn't have charging capability (using only 2-3 kwh per day). As far as I know, the nearest public charger with more than 16 kw is in...
  6. Max Pack :) Winch :(

I had this winch issue with my 2014 4Runner. There were plenty of winch mounting options for the Trail and SR5 models, but none then for my Limited. I ended up taking off the front of the body, cutting and welding on the Trail model winch mounting bracket, cutting a hole through the front...
