Unfortunately agree. Some of us have either towing long distance or remote travel where EREV is an interesting possibility. Yet nothing coming soon. Fortunately more and more DC chargers are being deployed.

Yes, BMW states they make a profit on their current electric vehicles,
, matching the profitability of their combustion engine cars, a success attributed to designing EVs for profit from the start, not as loss-leaders, with future models like the "Neue Klasse" expected to boost...
“Rather than spending billions more on large EVs that now have no path to profitability, we are allocating that money into higher returning areas, more trucks and van hybrids, extended range electric vehicles, affordable EVs and entirely new opportunities like energy storage,” Ford president...
Easy to say until you're dog tired heading home from an adventure, or not feeling well, or sleepy, and your robot on wheels takes you door-to-door without you giving 2FKs about anything. Welcome to the future...now.
FYI for any vehicle with electronic parking brake, disconnect wires/power to the caliper prior to starting service. Good to hear you got everything resolved.
Complete a*holes: "... Firefighters were also concerned that the batteries of the electric vehicle that crashed might explode and cause a fire."
How about: Firefighters were also concerned that the batteries gasoline of the electric vehicle that crashed might explode and ignite due to fuel...
Logic of backing in to a parking spot and driving out forward is easy.
Entering a parking space, you have more situational awareness. Backing in is safer at this time. And...allows for speedy departure, you know, when you're stealing something, ex is chasing you, etc...
And with auto-park...
Thankfully this is not possible. DC chargers are "fast" for a reason, to enable long-distance travel. Not an efficient use of resources to have people trickle charging at a DC charger. Hence no ability--thankfully-- to limit incoming power on a DC charger.
More simple for users! And that’s what matters for user adoption.
For example, I have two adapters for my R1T to use NACS: one for DC and one for AC.
Tell that to the 40,000+ "safe drivers" who die each year on USA roads, and the many more with life-altering injuries.
Any type of driver aids, starting with daytime running lights, are a boon to safety and lower injuries. "Tesla-style" FSD is long overdue, from Rivian and others (Lucid)...
Sure, if a gasmobile travels 40k miles at 25 mpg the proposed federal EV tax credit is "fair."
Don't forget to add in external costs, such as air pollution, illness (asthma, etc.) due to pollution from burning carbon...which 100% never will be implemented. USA needs a carbon tax!
