Just had a similiar issue. Had to change a flat tire for my daughter on her car at night on Interstate shoulder. Needed the headlights to stay on. Wound up having her sit in car and taping brake every time they shut off. Seems like this should be an easy option in headlight options.

I went in for windshield replacement and wound up with a charge port seal kit replacement, maybe a recall or just under warranty. Since then the charge port door does not close very well and now it’s getting worse, doesn’t close at all sometimes. Anyone else have this issue after this service kit?

Update….even though discount tire would not install the Michelin Ice X 115’s I brought them last fall due to load rating. They took them off and installed Continental Contacts 115’s just yesterday that I bought from them, no questions asked.

I will give it a try. Need new summer tires. I have Michelin ice x 115s on now but had to have mobile independent tire installer do it. Discount Tire refused to do it. So strange…

What’s the load rating. I saw at discount tire it is 115H. Last time I was there they would not put anything on that was less than 116. who put your continentals on?

Is it me or does the R1S windshield attract rock chips and cracks?!? I have gotten 3 in the last 3 months and they spread immediately. Now I do live in CO mtns with lots of snow but in the last 20 years i have only gotten about 3 chip/cracks in all of my other vehicles. Aerodynamics???or bad...

Sounds about right. Cold temps and interstate speeds. I’ve had my R1S, 22” for just over a year, 20,000 miles in CO mtns. Mostly interstate miles 75-80 mph Expect 1.75 Mi/kwh in winter and 2.25 in summer.

Agree, I just can’t discount tire to put them on. Hoping to get something from Rivian saying that 115 is good to go.

No suprise delivery delayed again. 1/20 R1S reservation moved from June/July to Oct-Dec now Jan/Feb 2023. I have a second one on order 5/22 reservation date and it’s window is Oct-Dec 2023. I guess more time for the bugs to be worked out.
