I'm pretty sure I would still feel the same...
I don't think that EV's are going to take off like most people on this forum thinks they're going to . We represent a very small percentage of the population. I have a very large group of friends/family members/coworkers (professional and blue...
I do miss the visceral experience of my Trackhawk. The supercharger whine. The exhaust burble between shifts. It was faster than my Model Y performance too (not by much). Do I miss gassing up all the time? No. Do I miss taking a trip and my stops only taking 10 minutes instead of 45...
I'm not sure they were crying about it. They were disappointed that Rivian never responded to their emails. I like the TFL folks. They give honest, no holds barred reviews. They're fan-boys of no brand.
I lose a 1/3 of the range in my Model Y when I drive with traffic (75-80 mph). Not too big a deal because there are a lot of superchargers where I travel. That being said, it takes 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour to charge to 80%. Trips take longer. I may change my order to the 400 mile pack once I...
You've listed some very good points! I too am intrigued by the F-150 Hybrid. There are going to be different pros and cons for all of us. I agree with a lot of what you're thinking. I bought my first EV 4 months ago. I wanted something unique. And fast. I'm glad it's a "clean" vehicle but...
I thought the Hummer looked bland. If they were going to keep the "traditional" truck look, I wish they would've sharpened up the lines. Kind of like my old military Humvee. And then when the price was revealed, no thanks. Not even in the ballpark.
I've been driving my Model Y for over 2 months in Michigan and haven't had a single issue. I have had several people ask about what it's like to own an EV. Which is a fun conversation because it's my 1st one.
You're right. I just sold my Trackhawk and bought a Model Y performance. I wanted a unique car while I wait to see what/when Rivian comes up with. My 1st EV. Taking care of the environment is a good thing, but not high on my list for buying an EV.
I'm kicking around selling my Trackhawk and buying a Model Y now. Then wait until 2023 when that ugly Cybertruck is ready. Tesla's worked out a lot of the kinks that Rivian is going to be learning on the fly. And there's no comparison to their charging network. I'm not totally convinced that...
I like the Aviator. I have no problem with owning a car with a gas/diesel engine. I put my reservation down for an on/off road performance vehicle that happens to be electric. I'm not totally sold on getting a Rivian. There are some very intriguing options coming out between now and who...
The getting service aspect is not very important to me. I trust that Rivian will produce a good product for $70k. If I was worried about the vehicle breaking down or needing service, I wouldn't buy it. That's my 2 cents....
I'm sure I'll be driving it like I stole it at first. Then spend some time learning about the features/tech. Or having my son explain the features/tech to me. Ha
I like the performance and looks of the R1T and R1S. I like that they're going to be a unique vehicle. My motivation has nothing to do with climate change.
I'm never going to take it camping or up to a ski lodge. I'm going to drive it every day with my dog in the back seat. The marketing...
Just found this thread. I'm in SW Michigan and put my deposit down earlier in the month for the R1T. I may switch to the R1S. I'm looking forward to seeing them in the flesh this summer in Chicago or Detroit.
