While I'm delighted to see some charging locations up here in Maine, I'll still have to go to Chelsea for service. It seems to me it would have been much smarter to put a service center out on one of the beltways instead of deep in the city.
They also had me do a first drive in Brookline...
I will go with the R1T. I want to be able to throw messy stuff in the bed, or muddy dogs, or gravel or whatever. I also think the tonneau cover is way too limiting and silly. I'll put a removable cap on the bed. I doubt if the tonneau cover is very waterproof and I'm in Maine, and the bed with a...
How did you all hear about this event in Boston?
Boston is a drive for me from Maine, but it's the closest SC. I've seen all of 2 R1Ts up here in passing and would love to spend some more time around them.
Just to put my 2¢ in regarding coasting: I have a 2015 BMW with a diesel engine that has an ECO mode where if you lift off the accelerator, the transmission freewheels. I use this mode quite a bit and end up averaging more than 45 mpg. It's a fun feature and I'll miss it when I get my R1T.
I need the 20” wheels because of bad roads, potholes, frostheaves, and general winter driving. I live in New England and specifically Maine, not Utah. I won’t be crawling slickrock. I don’t need the reinforced underbody to protect the truck from deep snow. There are few to no tire options for...
Here in the northeast your canopy is called a cap. I will definitely put a cap on mine and have never thought the tonneau cover was very useful. I wonder how that tonneau cover would hold up with a foot of wet snow on it? I can't imagine it would be waterproof in that circumstance. It would be...
I'm an expert driver and have lived in New England, presently Maine, and driven on ice and snow for 54 years. I agree with your opinion on regen and think it's silly and foolish that we don't have the ability to turn it off if we want to. Unless you have studded tires, any regen on an icy corner...
If you watch enough Matt's Off Road Recovery you'll find out that when you need to break the suction holding the stuck vehicle, you do want to use a winch rather than the recovery rope. Steady pressure is what will break the suction.
I do want a place that I can get dirty but is water tight. So, I definitely want the T with a cap. Back when I was going to FL in the winter I made a watertight cap for an open trailer I had. If you are handy it's not that hard, and I enjoy making things.
But I want my T with dual motor and max...
