One thing I didn’t love about the Rivian camp kitchen was that it made the back door inoperable (and susceptible to damage when a child tries to open the door from inside) when the kitchen was in use. I see you took the same approach. What’s the reason for not having it fold to the rear?
Oh, that would be awesome! Not sure if timing will work though. I'm in Paso Robles area and we're off to Yosemite on Monday. I'd probably have to take a drive over the weekend to get them. It was a last minute thought to purchase and nobody can get them to me before the weekend.
I don't...
We actually camped with this guy on our first night on the white rim. Was a functional setup for sure. I’m looking for something a little more universal for daily use and a bit more transformerish. I have it pictured in my head. Just unsure about anchoring.
For me, the best setup for adventuring would be a cargo platform that makes the most out of the bed space. I'd like to start on building out my vision but it's a little blurry so I thought I'd throw the idea out there to see if others might have some points to share. I'm not sure where the best...
Where does the water go? Are there drain holes somewhere in the channel for the tonneau? In order for things to stay (at least somewhat) dry, if not 1 piece the individual panels would have to have some sort of interlocking lip on them. I’m picturing something like the hatch hinge on my teardrop...
The screws are just holding it in place. No tensile and barely any sheer stress on them. If anything this brace is helping because instead of the force of the tire compressing to just the footprint of the tire it’s being distributed over a larger area.
Now if you threw eye bolts into those holes...
Thanks for all the input. There aren't ANY Rivians on Turo in my area so I can set the price and it will certainly be high to deter "certain individuals". Believe me, there is a certain clientele I want to attract and certain others I want to deter and will be very choosy regarding who gets...
I had a crazy idea about a year ago to order 3 Rivian models right from the get go and I would rent at least one of them, built out as a well prepped, all inclusive overlanding vehicle, on Turo as a little side hustle. Well the first one showed up yesterday and I have to say I'm struggling a...
I just received my first R1T today! Yes, I said first...

Looking forward to learning more about this truck and all the cool shit it can do!
