Same story here. Just reloads the page. Will try again tomorrow. At least now I know for sure it didn’t go through since I haven’t received a confirmation email.
I considered the trade-in offer for about a moment before thinking through this logic. We took delivery this April, but had pre-price hike pricing on our Quad. Paid $75,000 in the end. The math wasn’t mathing, even with the trade-in bonus.
I love this. Like everyone is saying, you'd never see this from a legacy automaker. Though, to Tesla's credit, they did almost the same thing earlier this year with the Cybertruck for a reservation holder diagnosed with stage 4 cancer...
Tbh, outside of being an Uber driver, I never really understood why people get phone mounting docks in modern vehicles. Especially ones that either already have CarPlay or good mapping software integrated — like Rivian and Tesla. Why do you still need your phone mounted up high?
I feel like I'm the only person here deeply interested in your experience. You could rack up tons of views on YouTube if you did an impressions video. Because there's nada out there. Haha.
I hear you on the cost. It's probably the single biggest reason I haven't pulled the trigger. But I, like...
Ohhhhh. Can you give some more impressions of your use with it? You have an R1T, which I feel like is better suited for it. But still curious to get your detailed thoughts.
With all respect, I think you’re overestimating the average car buyer’s knowledge and interest. No one is assessing the current slate of options and ticking models on and off the list based on whether or not it was a clean sheet built EV. EVs are still in their infancy and people don’t even know...
Considering I just locked up my order from a matching configuration in the R1 Shop last week, I’ll be kinda salty if they make particularly large changes/improvements. My suspicion is that it’s mostly going to be streamlining and cost-cutting in ways none of us will notice. I’ll take my vehicle...
I don't understand these midday midweek events (Lunch & Learn). Like...do the people who go to these things have jobs? I'm inclined to go to the R2 visit on 3/30. We will have actually just taken delivery of our R1S the day before. I wonder if I can just park out front and blend in with the...
If I had to guess, it's not an ICE vehicle. I think are mistaking a hitch receiver for what they believe to be an exhaust pipe. Not sure it's a Rivian, per se. But don't think it's an ICE.
I've got the Exo system on my Model Y (soon R1S) as well. It's been great. So far have only used the Warrior basket on the Swingbase, but I have the TopShelf and Box ready to go when camping season picks back up. By that time, we'll have our R1S, so it was helpful to see this setup.
And thanks...
Thanks so much for this review. We currently drive a Model Y and before this, a Model 3. We actually JUST postponed our R1S delivery about a week ago as our Model Y lease isn't over until April. But even with our years long commitment to getting a Rivian, we couldn't help but let our eyes wander...
I totally get why the press is still referring to it as the Tesla plug, since it was pioneered by them and is widely known as theirs. But whenever they do that, instead of trying to adopt the NACS nomenclature, it makes it sound as though everyone else is conceding to Tesla. It's just optics...
