Do you plan to do another test on an EA 150/175 unit?
I certainly can - that result may just be a tweet rather than a whole video. Wanted to get this video up and it takes a lot of time to drain such a huge pack to record these 😅

Are you not the branden that watermarked the graphs?

The temperature left axis is temperature degrees C, right axis is battery conditioning on/off

X axis is battery level(%)

The second graph is y-axis charge rate (kW), x axis is battery level %

It should be very close as I cleaned up the data to reflect when charging started / ended.

Nah, you don't make such a potentially risky fleetwide change without a lot of testing and validation to back up the change. Rivian is still playing it safe here and I have no doubt that it'll continue to get better as they do more testing. Battery testing takes a long time to do, since it's not just a matter of hitting a reset button and starting over.

Sort of related question. Owner's manual still states the Service Manual is available with subscription from Rivian. Has anyone got it yet or know subscription cost, etc..? .

I've been saying for months since I've been watching this that Rivian needs to kick in battery cooling much sooner. It had been doing nothing till the pack hits 50C, then immediately slowing to ~100kW which slowly ramping the compressor up to full to cool the pack.

The new update still does essentially the same, except it drops to 150 instead of 100kW. The full speed compressor still does not kick in until after the pack is too hot.
HOWEVER after two charges yesterday, and I think also shown in this video, I DO think rivian is running the compressor at a slower speed starting at a lower temperature. I swear this is new, I noticed the truck shimmying during both charges yesterday where previously it was dead still. So that may also help slow the heating slightly.

Branden has been logging just the data he is viewing in a format without timestamps. I am logging full raw candata and will be looking at the logs over the next few days. I still can't find coolant info but I continue to search. But it is awesome that branden could manage eliminating several values both with a reliable charger and charge rate (something I can rarely find) as well as near identical initial pack temps (forget that with the new england temperature swings lately!)

Mine tapered badly after just 8 minutes to 96kw in 40 degrees ambient On the new software.
