My dog pees on them. That was the first place I saw one - on the beach in Lewes. Our dog was fascinated by them. Just wanted to stare at it all day.

Not a bad ideaThis is a great key! Rivian should put a sticker with this color key code inside the frunk!!
I’d hate to step on one of these pointy thingsCollecting Horsehoe Crab blood for medical purity testing ("The Matrix" undertones!). I know these guys well - they mate on the beach in front of my beach house in Delaware. We have saved thousands of them over the years - when they flip on their back in the surf they are helpless - which happens a lot during mating, lol.

Agree - good possibility that it is hydraulic fluid from suspension. Jerseyff - check the metal mesh hydraulic lines to see if they are the source, especially near the fittings in the front wheel area. Hopefully SC gets you in soon since if this is the source will eventually get warning about needing to service suspension - according to tech. SC got me in fast and replaced hydraulic lines/fittings for my Gen2 R1S -apparently a known issue. It looks like the hydraulic fluid from the damping system others have posted.
From another post too:
From the tech:
Blue - coolant for batteries and motors
Blueish/green - hydraulic for suspension
Yellow - brake fluid
Orange - motor/driveline oil
Red - windshield washer fluid
Updated my initial post.Update 1/22/25 - Still no response from ATL on the ticket, still waiting on a review. I pulled the plastic back and peeked up inside the wheel well, it appears it may be associated with the reservoir in the below image. What is this holding? It is not washer fluid, my fluid is orange...this is not.

That looks more blue than the teal droplet you showed. So it would point to coolant for motors and HV pack. If you have a ticket, from the mobile app, you can call SC and try to escalate. Meanwhile, if you do drive it, keep an eye on pack and motor temps in gauge view.Updated my initial post.
I have definitely been watching the pack and motor temps, so far things have been normal. That looks more blue than the teal droplet you showed. So it would point to coolant for motors and HV pack. If you have a ticket, from the mobile app, you can call SC and try to escalate. Meanwhile, if you do drive it, keep an eye on pack and motor temps in gauge view.
Yah unfortunately that is the state of service right now. They've got more demand than capacity and when things get busy/overwhelming the day gets away from you and you forget to do certain things... like get back to the customer.I did call 800 Service back mid-day and ask them to escalate it for ATL, they said i should hear back by 6p but nothing but crickets today from ATL. If i use the "get in touch - call" button from in the ticket, it just calls the 800# again. I have never found a method to call a SC directly and that has been frustrating since I got the truck in 2022, always have to go through the call center/middle man.
The mobile tech saw the leak under the coolant pump when he removed one of the underbody plastic panels to perform the accelerator recall service. He showed me where the coolant tank is, which is under the top plastic trim panel along the top of the fender, rear of the washer fluid tank. He checked the level of the coolant and it was still plenty full and that the leak was minor and OK to drive for now until service appt. in a week.
Here is the invoice for the service center work with details...
