Just had new Michelin Defenders LTX M/S2 LT275/50 R22's installed on my RIVIAN R1S at Discount Tire in Salem Oregon! Discount Tire was AWESOME! Thank you Josh and Jose for all you help and support on this purchase! They are awesome tires, quiet, look aggressive and handle extremely well. The OEM Pirelli 22's that came with the vehicle were ok, but I only got 30K miles on them and suffered two blowouts. We have a couple trips planned to Walla Walla and Sonoma soon, so I will update the drive experience once they have completed.

They make two versions. The XL at 39lb and the E range at 52lb weight which looks like what he got. The harshness will depend on the tread wear which I don't see listed. I've had a lot of pilot sports. The 4S wears much faster 30k mile rating but has a better ride than the Pilot Sport AS 60k mile life. There's always trade off somewhere. I'll be getting either the ltx or Continental contacts when I replace the Pirelli ones.

I’m running the E rated And definitely feel like they are less harsh than the stock Pirelli 22s. Definitely no where near as sporty and about the same range/efficiency maybe 5-10% less depending on air pressures. Currently running mine at 60psi.

I’m a fan.

I am only 8k in on my Pirellis, but excited to see all of these new tire options.

Just rotated at 7500, I doubt I make it to 30k though, lucky if I get to mid 20s. I never use conserve, but I am a bit heavy off the line.

Btw 22 darks look slick, I have the brights.

The tires have a really good side wall look to them that adds a nice accent to the overall stance. From a glance they almost look like all terrains from the edge of the treads.

Absolutely love the black on black combo. Stunning.

The tires have a really good side wall look to them that adds a nice accent to the overall stance. From a glance they almost look like all terrains from the edge of the treads.
