I've seen that written too and also thought this is how it worked ... until I purchased the R1T. I discovered it's not how it actually works ... at least not in my truck. The screen which shows the motors and wheels with power delivered and regen when in motion will always have both motors and all wheels lit up, showing the amount of energy fluctuating. The rear wheels are always doing what the front wheels are doing (powering truck, or regen), although the quantity may vary slightly (hard to tell). Also, on the screen which shows the motor temperature, both motors heat up about as quickly, reaching the same temperature (within a few degrees). Gen 2 dual, large battery only has 3 modes, all purpose, snow and all terrain. There is no sport or conserve.
Not for me. Same screen, rear motors are on only rarely even when on the highway and climbing mountains.

Same... In all purpose, I've noticed front wheel drive only except when accelerating more forcefully (on the highway you can feel the rear clutches engage when you dip into it), and also under regen the rears seem to be in play more often than not.

Snow, off road, towing, and of course sport and rally it's dual motor all the time.

My truck had a bad alignment (crooked steering wheel) out of the factory that I got corrected at 2k miles, after which the truck tramlined really bad on rain grooves.

Service center did a courtesy rotation at 2700 ish miles which helped. I'm up on my next tire rotation at 10,xxx and have a mobile service schedule after new years.

While I have not measured my tread, they did just fine in some snotty slick snow we had recently, so nowhere close to worn out.

2025 dual max perf R1T.

I have a Gen2 R1S Dual Large (non Performance) and currently at 11,200 miles on the 22" Scorpion all-season tires. The tread looks to support another 13-16k miles of primarily highway driving, or ~12k mixed.

2023 Gen 1 DM AT - replaced OEMs at ~17k mi with KO3’s. 7500mi 5 way rotation performed ans well as alignment/balance after every tough off-roading adventure.
Haven’t had to rotate KO3s yet, but tread depth is so much better (as is handling and road noise). I think the OEMs just suck for this vehicle.

Had mobile service stop out yesterday to rotate the tires. Tech measured all four and they were even at 6/32 depth, so advised no rotation needed. Truck has 11k on it so far, I should be good at least till next winter, maybe longer.

I had the alignment fixed at 1800 miles due to a crooked steering wheel (it was way off from the factory), as well as a rotation, which prob is helping.
