Aftermarket charger recommendations?

I'm finally set to receive my RIT dual motor max pack after 50 months! Of course, Rivian is having issues fulfilling orders for chargers and I'm running out of time. Does anyone have any experience w/ an aftermarket charger installed in their home? If so, any specific models to recommend or avoid?

I have a Chargepoint Home Flex installed that I am happy with. I also have a cheap Amazon purchased charger (40A) that works well.

+1 to the ChargePoint Flex.

I prefer it over our Rivian charger which has a fatter, less flexible cord, especially in colder temps.

I have the Tesla Universal Wall Connector to future proof when a future EV I own or a friend/family visting has a NACS plug. This gives me one charger to charge different types of cars. It has a built in adapter on the charger which is really convenient. I’ve never had any issues with it - it starts charging immediately every time.

ChargePoint Home Flex is great. A few months back I installed a SPAN smart panel and a SPAN Drive charger and am regretting the charger. Since the Rivian and Tesla share the charger, I've been considering dumping the SPAN charger and getting the Tesla Universal Wall Connecter (which is awesome btw).

Tesla wall units are a great bang-for-the-buck choice, and since NACS is the future, a good forward-looking choice.

Word of advice - check with your local utility company to make sure you are getting a charger that they recognize for EV charging discounted rates. I made the mistake of getting the Rivian charger with my purchase and apparently my local utility (BGE) does not support that and I cannot get the lower electric rate for off-hours EV charging.

Good choice. Check with your utility for rebates and EV charging incentives. My utility gives a $0.02 per kwh discount for charging between 11pm and 7am on week nights.

I concur Tesla wall connectors are excellent. They also have top quality personnel answer the technical phones if you have a wall connector question or issue. Have been using Tesla wall connectors since 2015 and now added a second for my R1 t.

If I was in the market, Tesla’s combo charger would be at top of my list. Then maybe Emporia or Autel.
