I did the same but, as soon as I got a new notification, it stopped mid-song and wouldn't play again.
I have disabled Alexa notifications in the settings. Hoping this will help.

Anyone else?

Alexa will respond to the request for music/artist/song but then nothing actually plays in the truck. It appears to be phantom streaming bc when you switch to the amazon music app on the phone and try to play it says it needs to cancel the current streaming to the car before it activates another stream- tho again no sound or artist info is being played or displayed on the truck. A hard reset fixes it but that’s not a great fix. Anyone got similar issues or suggestions to solve? And the phone music app seems to be working so doubtful it’s a server error on amazons side.
I picked up this tid-bit of a gem from Reddit which fixed my Alexa/Amazon music problem.

1) Say, "Alexa, Clear Notifications"
2) Soft infotainment reboot. (Both Steering Wheel Buttons)
3) After it reboots and LTE or WiFi is available, say "Alexa, Clear Notifications" again.
Now try, "Alexa, Play .xxxxx on Amazon Music."

This worked for me.

Worked for me as well... until I got another notification... Stopped the music mid-song and wouldn't work afterwards. Others suggest disabling notifications from Alexa in the vehicle settings, but I haven't tried that yet.

Mine keeps breaking, even after disabling notifications in the preferences. Filed a service ticket and was told that Rivian is aware of the issue working on a fix. For now, clearing notifications and doing a soft reset every time streaming stops is the only way to fix it.
