Anyone noticed latest update notification of lower range from cold ?

I noticed that latest update was going to show App notification when cold temperature impact range but did not seen any change… anyone seen something different ?

I believe the range estimate has been accounting for the cold for awhile as I don't see changes in reported range, this update just seems to be for educational purposes to prevent service calls.

Is your vehicle plugged in and/or on a charging schedule? I'm guessing that's a factor.

for the notifications to show you need to make sure your vehicle has the latest update as well as the app on your phone

I just updated a few days ago. I checked again today, and the truck indicated I have the latest version 2024.51.31. And I have the app on my phone. Version 2.19.0. In which vehicle notes updates for version 2024.51.31 details state that

"In the Rivian mobile app 2.19, added notifications in the app that warn you pre-emptively when cold weather may impact range, and when it starts to impact range".

I have yet to see that warning appear.

But then again, I've watched my state of charge drop by about 1%/hr while parked when it's really cold, so maybe the app will only provide a warning when I get to those conditions.

You have to click on the little battery symbol for the text to show. My battery was at 16°.

What operating system does your phone use? I don't have that 2nd row of icons across the bottom. I also haven't even seen the battery symbol. But my battery hasn't been as cold as yours was. I wonder if it's set at the same point as the truck warning that regen is reduced etc. when the battery is cold. I don't remember what that exact temperature is, but think it's around 20F or so. Screenshot of what I see on my phone (old iPhone X).

Are the battery and temperature icons always displayed? Or do they only appear when the battery is cold?

I'm guessing only when cold. Battery is 45 now and no icon on app
