App not showing Charging Speed

Oddest thing!

Charging 24 R1S on my home charger (Tesla Wall Connector) and while it's working (and at usual rate - 28 miles added an hour), but it's showing 0.0 kW charging rate (it usually shows at 11 kW).

I tried restarting the app and my phone but still seeing the same.

Anyone seen this happen before?

Another bug with the recent app update. Mine does this too. First the kilometers added bug (still not fixed) now charging speed is a guessing game. They don’t even test it!

On iPhone, when I get anomalous results I close the app fully and re-open it. Usually it starts displaying charge rate correctly after re-opening.

Mine did this on my recent road trip but only with Tesla Superchargers. It worked fine with EA chargers.

It's now broken on the charge page within the app. The widget still shows the correct charge rate and the charging history shows KwH added (along with the worthless distance added, in kilometers).

My app is showing 0 kWh charging speed but the miles added per hour rate is correct so just a minor annoyance for me.

Might be an IOS issue, I had the issue on an iPhone 14 Pro Max but was running 17.5.1. Checked for an update, see the 17.6.1 out there, will see if it fixes my issue once updated.

Edit:

I can confirm going from 17.5.1 to 17.6.1 resolves the issues showing kW rate while charging on my phone.

I think something is squirrely with their servers. I was also unable to turn on the climate or manually start charging through the app yesterday. It kept telling me to delete my phone from drivers and keys and try again. I didn't do that but today my app works again.

I updated my iOS to the latest release (out today) and it fixed the charging page on the rivian app.

I have seen this several times where both the app and teslafi are unable to access the charging data. Unplugging the vehicle and then plugging it back in immediately fixes it. I think it may actually be the vehicle that is buggy.
