I always replace them when around 3-4/32. Not worth risking my life on a worn out tire. I have the new Michelin Defenders LTX MS2 on my 21s and they are phenomenal. Smooth, quiet and comfortable. Great snow and ice traction especially for all seasons.
Ditto, the Defenders are fantastic and cheaper than the OEM Scorpions. As for replacing a tire, if the winter weather is comming, I replace at 3.

I’m looking at Michelin 21” tires but I just found out that there is another tire available. Does anyone think this tire will fit? Can anyone say they bought this tire.
ION HT 275 55 R22 XL. ITS available at Les Schwab here in Oregon.
it’s more expensive than Michelin’s by about $400-500

Start searching for new tires at 4/32nd and replace at 3 :)

Remember that the tires are the only thing that keeps your truck to the floor, it's your #1 safety equipment.

ION HT 275 55 R22 XL looks as if it's a little big for Rivian 22" wheels, which usually take 275/50R22 tires rather than 275/55R22.

Costco in Warrenton OR has some good Michelin options. Shane, David, and staff have taken good care of us and they know me very well.

R22 tires are NOT for 21". Do you have 22" wheels already?

Best wishes!
