Blacked out debadged Midnight R1T

Hey guys just picked up my truck this month and blacked it all out with debadging.

I chose white, not wanting to deal with black, then they gave me a black loaner …. ugh … looks damn good in black. : )

Black paint is a double edged sword. It looks awesome for about 20 minutes after it’s washed but it shows EVERYTHING after that point. It’s a high maintenance paint color.

Black easily shows “swirls“ in the finish.

Looks amazing! I can’t deal with another black truck though. I found myself visiting the car wash once a week and obsessing over whatever dust, pollen, cottonwood, etc. etc. etc had settled on it every day. I was dusting it off every other day. I traded it in on a white truck and now I can spend more time drinking whiskey.

That looks really good. Those wheels are growing on me. My RAM 1500 (sold for the R1T) was black. I did a DIY ceramic and it still looked great when I sold it. Yeah, it's a bit more work to have a black vehicle but can be worth it.

I really like this great job. my hint of criticism is i would have pulled the r1-t emblem and left the big rivian on the tailgate and blacked it out. back end looks a little naked almost.

Looks great! I'm debating to what extent to debadge my R1S when it gets here s00n - I've always debadged my vehicles to some extent. I was thinking of taking the big Rivian off the back, but I may end up leaving it on just to help avoid the "whatizit?" questions from onlookers. Then again, having it debadged might help minimize the "oh that's a Rivian tell me about it!" comments from onlookers, which could be a good thing...
