No guide contact here. April 2019 R1S LE res with an April - June 2023 Del Date.
Yet, I have a First Mile Demo Drive of the R1T scheduled for this Tuesday, Jan 10 in Vancouver. They are doing them out of the old Mini Yaletown space. I've asked if I can demo the R1S - told none are available. Doesn't matter. Still looking forward to it after all this time.

Well will you look at that, I just got an email from my guide introducing himself. I’ve scheduled a chat with him on Monday at 9:30. I will update more after that. R1S with an expected delivery of April-June. I would imagine I’m not the only one he reached out to. July 19 reservation date.
So. Your guide call was 2 hours ago. We require an update  (as we are all living vicariously through you at this point)

True! Work got in the way. So I have to admit I’m pretty excited. I was told by my Guide that he thinks 4-8 weeks until delivery. I confirmed my configuration and he was very knowledgeable. It sounds like there have been single digit customer deliveries here in BC. He mentioned that an R1S was the first delivery in BC. I’ve been moved to Selected Fulfillment Category and he’s sending off my config to the manufacturing team. He also said the new refresh of delivery should be updated by later this month and are done every 3 months. SC delivery only at this time due to regulatory limitations but hopefully that changes later this year. He mentioned that they weren’t expecting the delays here in Canada but felt very optimistic and things were going to be moving faster up here as far as deliveries and SC expansion.

Hang in there Canada, I think it’s getting closer!

That is interesting. And unfortunate. I guess that means us Vancouver Island folks will be required to go to Vancouver to pick-up or more delays. I hope that this does not push out our windows and rather we are able to pick whether we want delivery soon in Vancouver or later at home. From day one they were adamant they would do home delivery even on the island.

I had to go over to Vancouver to pick up my Tesla (they are only now starting to do deliveries on the island). So it's not a big deal. But I'd also be disappointed if my window got pushed out a few months without being given the option to pick-up at the SC.

By the sounds of it there have definitely been some unforeseen issues here in Canada that weren't in the states. My guide made it sound like they would be doing deliveries in the second half of the year though.

He said now that they have the SC and mobile fleet up and running things were going to move faster.

I just emailed them to be make it clear we are flexible on delivery at home or SC (even if it means taking a ferry). 🤞

I've emailed them a couple times now for a direct answer as to why I haven't had a guide assigned by now - no response so far. I'm not about to go 'Karen' on them, but the radio silent treatment is infuriating. I certainly don't feel like a customer buying a 100K vehicle, that's for sure...

When I was speaking to my guide he mentioned that Scotia Bank is their financer and the rates would be in the 7% range. Does anyone have specifics on the financing through them? Is it fixed or variable? How long is the term? 5 yrs?

Got the confirm your confirmation email before Jan 15 so the system confirmation update can tell us when to expect delivery.

I am predicting my Jan to Feb window is going to get pushed back another 2 to 3 months.

My wife and I had our First Mile demo drive in Vancouver today. To say I was looking forward to this is an understatement. It was a long time coming. Both of us were very impressed indeed. I looked over the R1T prior to the Delivery Specialist coming out - panel gaps were good, nothing stood out in a build quality sort of way. The DS was very knowledgeable and keen. Went for about a 20 min drive on a predetermined route through Yaletown, Gastown and under the convention centre. He said this same route is shared by Rivian, Tesla and Lucid - you can punch it as you get close to the water! Which we did.
He confirmed Scotia Bank is doing financing but we didn't go into rates, etc.
As for delivery date - it was his opinion that if you keep your current config, your delivery date won't change. With regard to SC pickup vs. delivery to your home, he said the current plan is you can pick either. Yet, he did mention a possible fee if they have to take a ferry - which they would to come to me on the Sunshine Coast.
As for how the R1T drives vs. the R1S, he told us that after the Vancouver event in November, he drove an R1S back to Seattle. Having also driven the R1T many times, his opinion is that they drive almost exactly the same, except one might feel the R1S is a bit 'boxier'. Not a surprise there.
For those who are on the petite side, my wife Shelley is 5'1" and was able to adjust the driver's seat to a comfortable position with no problem at all.
As an aside, my wallet slipped out of my pocket and fell between the seats when I was driving. Discovered this a bit later but it was recovered. While we waited for the DS to come back with the next lucky driver's, an IT guy Tyler gave us a couple of t-shirts to ease the anxiety! Very nice indeed.
I hope everyone else who gets this opportunity will enjoy it as much as we did.

Just checked the update on my configuration and guess what? Postponed again! No surprise.

Went from January/February to May/June.

Seriously sick of this. Just come out and say we have no idea when you will get your rivian. Get four delays in a row is just poor operational management.

-end rant.

My delivery estimate changed to April - June 2024. Curious about what other Canadians are seeing.

Not a good day for me. Mine changed from April-May to June-July. Sigh. It’s been 4 years. What’s a few months more right?
