I took delivery of my T on 8/9. I executed the paperwork on 8/10 and promptly FedEx’d them to Rivian. I immediately added my truck with Nationwide on my current insurance plan that expired on 9/3. I waited and waited and waited for my tag but nothing came and I heard nothing from Rivian. So, I asked them: where’s my tag? Come to find out that it was held on someone’s desk because the expiration date was 9/3. Did anyone notify me of the issue and request an updated insurance form? Nope. So, now my temp tag expires on 11/6 and I have no hope of getting a permanent tag. Oh, they’ll take care of renting me another truck but who will pay the gas bill? Not Rivian. Who knows when the tag will arrive. Bottom line is that I really like the truck, I just can’t stand how amateur the company is. So, I canceled my R1S today and I’ll probably buy the Kia EV9 when it comes out next year.
