That’s a pretty good idea! ??I cut up my bed rug from previous truck (ford raptor) and it works pretty well and only slightly janky. Also used the tailgate section in the gear tunnel which really helps prevent things from sliding around. Sent a message to bed rug and sounds like the have solution for R1T in development.

That looks exactly like the one DeeZee made years ago to fit my gen 1 Ridgeline. Too bad they won't make one that fits the entire bed of our R1Ts. I really liked that mat. It was heavy and didn't move around while driving down the road at 70mph.same one I posted a couple of months ago......

Dee Zee DZ85005 Universal Heavyweight Utility Bed Mat - 4' x 8'
Again, for any one interested. Do with these as you choose. Needed a rubber bed mat to help prevent things from sliding all over the place. Naturally, nobody makes one specifically for the Rivian yet. When they do, I'll order it. In the mean time, ordered this universal one and cut it down. Was fairly easy to cut with all-purpose type cutters. It's 4' x 8' from the seller. I cut the length down to 52 3/4" to allow space for the fold over flap that folds up when you close the tailgate. It takes up about an inch of space/length in the bed when the tailgate is closed (the one that covers the hinges to make a flat floor when the tailgate is down. I put the cut end toward the cab with the molded end toward the tailgate since that's the side that will be seen. Although, was proud of myself for completing a pretty straight cut!
At 4' wide, its the same exact width of the spare tire cover. Happy with it as a temporary solution until a specific cut one comes out. I didn't want to get into a larger one that I had to also cut the sides and fender wells out. The fender wells are so small inside the bed anyway, so there's very little plastic exposed with this one. This is a very heavy duty mat. It's not light. but, I like that for the fact that I didn't have to "mount" it. Other mats show it being necessary to screw them in. Had no desire to put holes in the bed. With weight of this thing, don't think it's going anyway. Based on a post below, apparently some come with a logo stamped into the mat. Not sure that's that big of a deal. But, it's far enough towards one end of the mat that if you don't want the logo, it can be part of the leftover piece after you trim it for the Rivian. There is 52 3/4 inches of continuous mat space that has no logo.
