Don't know if my Rivian mates are or have run into an issue with latest update. It appears to be offering preset climate control options....the option pops up (annoyingly, as you have to opt out of it). When I didn't opt out & changed the settings as I'd like them to be, the system didn't' seem to accept me establishing that as default. It just always lands back on what it considers default. Anyone struggling with this & have it figured out? I'd like to set it up as default for me & then always be able to modify but if it's just not working I'd like to disable this option popping up.

I am frustrated by the same system defaults (Gen 1 R1T), and am surprised that there was no response to this thread. My issue focuses on the default heat setting including the front windshield defroster. Herer in Minnesota, there are times when I want the windshield cold so snow does NOT melt when it hits the glass. But every time I start a drive, the system defaults to floor and defrost. It is simple to press the screen two times, but is is annoying that the default can't be changed.

Part of the reason for the defaults I think is for when your preconditioning the car in heat mode. The logic on the part of Rivian ...I am guessing...is that the floor and windshield will both heat the cabin and help melt off any ice/snow so the windshield can be more easily cleared.

Rivian should allow owners to select their default vent selection and save it with the vent position save feature.
