Colorado mountain tester review

Drove the new R1S from Denver to Walden Colorado and back today. Significant elevation gain and an awesome winding pass called Willow Creek. I can only describe this SUV to friends as a super comfortable race truck. The control and comfort at high speeds (I was alone on very empty highway) was phenomenal. Corner control and acceleration was the best I’ve ever experienced I’ve driven Lexus’s before and this is first EV. Now I get it even more. Thanks Rivian!

It is a great car for mountain roads, paved and unpaved.

I describe it as almost as fun to drive on mountain roads as my old Miata, but it's closer to the Miata than any truck has the right to be.
