Hi Florida Rivian owners!!! Is there anyone in the Sunshine State that has the Comma 3x yet? I just got my R1S wrapped and looking to purchase this software but was hoping someone in FL has some input on how it has been running in FL? I included a picture of my wrap….what do you think?

Hey @nickwr24 - I’ve had it running for a week or two and it’s slick. For example, I travel I-4 on almost a weekly basis and Highway Assist turns off twice between Tampa and Orlando where there has been construction (so the approved “mapped” highways no longer match), but Openpilot is an absolute breeze. Doesn’t require hands on the steering wheel - overall, I’m very, very pleased. It’s what Rivian’s ADAS should have offered from the start.

Based on what is happening at the Comma conference (this week) it sounds like they are actively working on the Rivian and it’s only going to get better (incorporate radar, longitudinal/speed control rather than relying on Rivian’s ACC, etc)

One quick note: install is a pain in the butt and the harnesses won’t be publicly available for another 3-4 weeks (but when they are, they should be significantly less expensive than ordering them from a guy named Lukas in Germany for $1,000)

How long was your harness installation?
I remember someone said he/she would post a video, wonder how long/easy it would be following it.

There's a video on how to install the harness, Very basic video, but a bit tedious to get to the the connector under the passenger footwell. I will be getting this system added to Tarkus in the very near future, as she does a lot of back road drive testing of Wireless E911 Calls & lane keeping is a must have ticket item & why I bought this electric vehicle, just wish Rivian would fulfilled their promise to give G1's "hands-free driving", but i digress...

About an hour and a half, but I was fastidious about hiding any wires. If I cared a bit less about that then it probably would have saved 30 minutes.
