Cost of home charging at different speeds?

Has anyone done research to see if there is a significant cost difference to charge at a lower speed? It seems to me that charging at 24 amps would generate less heat in the electrical system versus charging at 48 amps. Heat is lost energy and therefore wasted but is it enough to make a significant difference in the cost of charging? My average daily charge is around 20Kw and I have enough time to charge at 24a vs 48a. I'm wondering if it would save me money to do so.

Charging slower actually uses more energy because you have fixed overhead to keep the vehicle awake. Faster charging means that you have those overhead consumers on for a shorter period.
