DeWALT 28” Tool Box fits in Gear Tunnel

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share a good toolbox for use with the R1T gear tunnel. It fits well, the wheels actually help in sliding it in and out, and it’s pretty big. I’m currently using it for an electric kettle, hot plate, pot, pan, plates and utensil (poor man's kitchen setup) and I thought I’d share.

I’m pretty sure you could fit two without much of a problem … I have a 30” foldable platform in the other side of mine and they both fit.

Good idea. I have similar sized DeWalt tool boxes for various heavy tools and they hold up well. None with wheels, that's what makes this really cool.

The Ridgid boxes on top left of your pic will fit two stacked above the floor in the frunk. Not sure on the fit for the Ryobi.

Edit: Dimensions on Ryobi look very close to the Ridgid. Either could do double stack of the single like the Ridgid or single of the larger.

I bought two today and they fit. One box seems to need to be up on the “ledge” of one side. I think the wheels touch at the center and they stick out a bit from the rectangular toolbox.. Either way, it works.
