I tried to handle this via DM, but apparently you can't DM @Discount Tire, so I'll post it up here and hopefully they can reply.
Hi - I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm a huge fan of Discount Tire, especially the one at 4465 Forrest Hill Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. I've gone to them for almost 20 years and have bought close to that many sets of tires (going back to multiple sets of Continental ContiExtremes to multiple DWS to multiple sets of Toyo AT3s to multiple sets of Bridgestone Potenza RFT to Duratracs to winter tires, etc - you name it). I've been a huge proponent too, sending many people to that store (and you can even search my username and Forrest Hill on this forum and you'll see I've always said incredibly positive things).
Unfortunately, during my last appointment I was having Nokian Outpost nATs installed on my R1S and one of my wheels was damaged. I always check for damage before leaving after having my car worked on - whether it's the dealer or DT. They admitted it likely happened because the "rubber guard" wasn't in the right place for larger wheels like the Rivian's. They took a lot of pictures and eventually sent me to your claims service to see about repair or replacement. The claims folks asked me to get a quote for repair, which I did, but the repair place said they couldn't completely match it due to the machine marks in the wheel (they have no way of matching that). I went back to the claims team and they've basically ignored that comment and just sent me a check to get it repaired. I don't want it to be "OK" - it was perfect when I took it in and I shouldn't have to settle for OK.
Is there anything you can do to help? This has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth - especially after having always been such a big proponent.
