Does the mileage range estimate on the driver's display change based on driving history at a given % battery charge? For example, at 100% or 70% charge, is it always the same number or is it influenced by driving history? In my 2nd Gen R1S, the mileage estimate in the driver's display is always the same, 369 miles at 100% charge. I believe this is not the case for the 1st Gen R1S.

From what I have read - the driver display range estimate is an indicator of the general health of the battery. If your (displayed mile range / % range) x 100 is equal or very close to your original range when you bought it - then battery health is 100%. As battery degrades, that formula will start to show lower number and the battery degradation is (that result above / your original range) x 100. I am only 3 months into Gen2 ownership, battery health is 100% - as it should be.

Thanks for the explanation! 2 follow up questions: 1. What does the Reset History function in the charging menu do ?- I don't believe I have not seen any impact of this to any functions.. 2. Does the explanation above apply to the Gen 1 vehicles as well?

I haven't tried the reset history function...and what I have learnt from the forum - many members were Gen1 owners that described t that way. The driver display is your EPA range based on battery life degradation, where as, the navigation "range remaining at destination" takes into account your driving as well as many other parameters such as topographic data/elevation of the route, temp/weather etc. to predict remaining range. This range is usually conservative (better than Tesla) but again it will dynamically reflect remaining range as you drive (too fast and that remaining range continues to drop e.g.).
