ElCap Granite color

Hello Everyone,
anyone here have R1 with ElCap Granite color? I haven't seen one in person so want to know how would you describe the color?
more on black or gray? online picture seems to be indicate it is Matte color.
i will really appreciate any insight. I am thinking of taking a delivery of Elcap granite color from R1 shop. My original selected color is Limestone.

It is not a matte color, none of the factory paints are. I would call it a medium, metallic gray. Much darker than LA Silver but far, far from being black.

Mine is Rivian Blue, but I have seen several up close and I think pics above depict it accurately. It is definitely metallic and not matte. My personal opinion is it is actually lighter than most other "metallic / dark / smoke grays" from other manufacturers - which personally I really like. Honestly wish sometimes I would have gotten it instead of Rivian Blue, but happy either way. If I buy an R1S or 2nd R1T it will definitely be El Cap Granite.

many stealth wrap el cap. Saw one in person parked in the garage - retained the color with no metallic, which it is. Even nicer looking .

its very close to the Midnight Silver Metallic on Tesla IMO. It has much more sparkle though.

I love the color. Same as my Tesla. But having just been to Yosemite, it is nothing like the color of the real El Capitan which is beige, not grey.

definitely dark grey with a hue of blue and definitely not matte, its glossy for sure

I have seen several El Caps in person. One was at a dealer's lot that I examined very closely. I know that manufacturers have fancy names for all of their vehicle colors. To me the Rivian El Cap color is charcoal.

I didn't get to see all the colors at the SC when I did my demo drive. I saw Rivian Blue, Forest Green, LA Silver, El Cap (mine), Glacier White, and Midnight. Never got to see Red, Compass Yellow, Limestone or LG.

El Cap Granite looked to have the most metallic flake. It's really what made me switch from Rivian Blue. The demo I drove was blue and while I like the color, it just didn't seem to wow me as much as El Cap.

Also there's various shades of grey between the paint, trim, 21's (no aero), and the silver calipers of the DM. To me the plastic trim doesn't quite stand out as much compared to the brighter colors.

I have a R1T with ElCap Granite exterior and Forest Green interior. The ElCap exterior is a gloss metallic which changes the color hue from grey to dark blue depending on the ambient lighting. The rims are 20” “Brights” which I understand Rivian no longer offers.
Although I have had the vehicle for over a year now I get comments on how great it looks and no one has seen that exterior matched with a Forest Green interior. Originally, I had placed my order for LA Silver and Ocean Coast interior. However, after considerable research changed my configuration pre order.
