Excessive parking brake disengagement noise

This has recently started for me as well (within the past week or two) while reversing from park after sitting for a several hours. Today it is rainy, I’ll try to track weather but I’m pretty sure it was dry when it happened earlier this week. I’ll also submit a ticket so Rivian knows because I don’t want to deal with this for the life of the truck.

Edit: I read the other thread and one of the suggestions was to turn off the new Regenerative Brake Assist feature. I’ll check that out later and try to report back tonight or tomorrow.

I pulled out of the service center yesterday and the disengagement noise was really loud.

This has been happening to me as well, for the past 4 months or so. I don't recall this happening last winter, although I did start parking in a garage overnight in November of 2024.

It happens regardless of direction (forward or reverse), and seems to only happen after the vehicle has been sitting for 5 hours or more. The pop in the garage is very loud, and I know it can't be good. I'm going to put in a service ticket, I will record the sound tomorrow morning. I'll update with what I find out.
