I am sure I am not the only one who likes the concept of a sleeper. I always loved Farmtruck from Street Outlaws - IYKYK. If you don't know. See here.

I think with the topper on my truck, it makes my R1T even more unassuming. With the weather warmer, and the batteries warmer and rocking a higher state of charge (SoC) than my normal 50%, it has caught a lot people unaware. Recently, in one day in Mexico, 3 Mustang GT's ranging from fairly stock (exhaust at least) to pretty modded, were shocked (get the pun there) by EV wannabe Farmtruck in less than 10 miles of driving. Took one guy 3 times before he finally gave up, and thankfully, it was right at the speed limiter as we were maxed out.

Nobody is surprised by a Tesla S any more. I do have P75D badges on mine that does through them off a bit, but it is a Plaid, so don't get many takers other than now and then. WIth the Rivian, it is a lot easier to lull people into a quick hit, 0-30 or 0-50 where it is right in its element.

I just roll down my windows with some country western music playing in the background and then let 'er rip tater chip. The 20" Goodyear Territory ATs are perfect for throwing them off the scent yet still hook and go better than my 21" Pirellis. The have the benefit of howling like a wolf as they hit hard and launch the 7000 pound rocket into a low orbit.

I haven't had this much fun in a long time, lack of launch mode be damned.

No one worth racing wants to race me in my Rivian. My wife's BMW however had to give a Mustang with a blower his medicine in Nashville when we were visiting last year. My tri is much quicker than her BMW so it would have been even less of a challenge.

The new 22" pirellis are much better than the 21's I had on my old truck. I will probably be putting these back on when I smoke this set out.

Had an interesting little encounter today in Mexico. It was a pretty cold day and my batter was only about 57F and my SoC was 59%. Got to make a couple roll runs against a Lambo Urus. First time was from about 30 mph, I was in Sport mode, he went WFO first and I pretty easily walked him down.

Later it was from about 60 and I let him go first again and by 100 I was gaining fast enought behind I had to brake. Last time was from about 75 and it was an even start and pulled him nicely and was taking him to Gapplebees until I hid my speed limiter.

The cold should have helped his performance and my cold battery and low SoC didn't help my Rivian Farm Truck. It was still more than good enough. So glad I've pretty well sorted my wind noise as at Vmax it was pretty quiet. My Atomic Wheels and Rivian spec Goodyear Territory AT's sure didn't seem to hold the truck back and they were smooth as buttah. Truck felt absolutely planted at high speeds even with my Autofit Pro topper.

Yes, an Urus isn't a slow vehicle to be sure. I did let my son drive my R1T and I ran him with my Plaid. That was a massacre. I even gave him the hit. Off the line is where it matches the best against the Plaid.

Where it becomes painful for the Rivian is at higher speeds. The Plaid will go 60-120 just a little bit slower than the R1T goes 0-60. That is pretty impressive.

I love my Rivian but my Plaid is my favorite daily driver ever.
