Is anyone else with G1 getting an error when fast charging in below freezing temps? This happened at EA and Tesla yesterday.

Not I. I charged at a Tesla spot yesterday. my charge started very, very slow due to the pack not being warm, then it went up to the normal rate.

What was the error?

Also curious what your battery temperature was. The coldest I've fast charged has been around 35F.

I’ve had charger side errors when it gets REALLY cold, like around 0 degrees, but never a “battery too warm” error🤷🏼‍♂️

That’s strange. 72°F shouldn’t trigger a “battery too warm” error at all. Sounds more like a charger-side glitch, especially if it happened in freezing temps. Did it clear after unplugging and retrying, or was it consistent at both EA and Tesla?
Consistent with Tesla and EA. It cleared after I disconnected for 15 seconds

When the charger is plugged in, the battery temp is absent in the charging view. So if I want to know the temp, I must look before plugging in. Then after I remove the cable, look at the window of details. When parked for hours, the battery is close to the motor temp. I do not see much temp increase after L2 (40 Amp), charging.
