Financial Packet from Chase never came

I picked up my Rivian on March 20th (leased the car) in New Jersey and it's now been nearly 3 months later and my financial packet from JP Morgan Chase never came. I have emailed and called Rivian countless times the past month or so trying to get answers from them. They are largely clueless. One time I was able to get through to someone who was aware there was an issue with some new accounts having never gotten transferred properly to Chase. But despite saying it would be fixed immediately it never was. Just curious if anyone else is dealing with the same issue? Like I said it's now been 3 months and the only payment I made on the car was the first month when I picked it up. I'm shocked at bad the Rivian customer service has been with this.

Early on Rivian had some issues being slow with the titling or purchase process, but it seemed like they had largely worked that out by the end of 2022. If it’s an issue specifically with Chase it could mean that Chase changed something on their end and Rivian hasn’t adjusted to it yet. That’s not an excuse - just a possible explanation.

The only option you really have is to keep trying to get answers from Rivian. I would try to use chat so that you have whatever they say in writing. I’m sorry you have to deal with that:confused:

I've seen people email Chase with their VIN and it gets resolved quickly. So that's an option as well

Yup have tried that but Chase has no record of the vehicle because Rivian never transferred the information properly.

Exactly 100% issue April2nd delivery. ? i’m curious how the paperwork is going to be when we have to sign the lease again, because they’re gonna make us sign another agreement we already signed two of them before delivery because they messed up or change something or something along those lines, I don’t mind paying a monthly payment, but I also don’t like having my payments of 36 months starting 2,3,4 months later.
Purchasing a 2nd home as well so my LO is going to love this in underwriting ?

Same deal for us as well. Took delivery March 5, 2024, still no title or lease documentation as of 6/18/2024.

My second temp tag is set to expire again at the end of June, started pinging them earlier this week, no response in 48 hours.

Hey, free SUV, right?

Crazy.

Same boat. Pickup in CO on 3/28. Contacted them again yesterday and they said the same shpiel about an issue with transferring. It seems like they have a boilerplate response for this. They stated it should be taken care of s00n and to reach out again if it isn't. On my second temp tag as well. I've wasted too much of my time trying to followup on this.

I'm tired of trying, I just wanted to have an email trail showing that I have tried like heck to give them my money.

It's going to be interesting how it's going to work now that I will soon be 3 payments behind. I'm prepared to pay it all to bring it up to date but if I were Rivian/Chase I wouldn't count on everyone being able to do that...

Picked up my R1S on May 23 in California. Got my registration and plates from the DMV in 10 days or so. Been hounding Rivian and Chase for the last week with no results yet. Chase has no record of the VIN or my SS# so there's absolutely nothing they can do at this point. This is pretty GD annoying. I don't like these sort of loose ends. I remember reading a previous thread where the person said they had to re-do the lease paperwork and the start/end date of the lease changed or something like that. I STG they better not pull that BS with me. I'm going to go over my mileage most likely. So if they push my dates 2-3 months then I'm really gonna get nailed for extra mileage. Well, they're gonna try. Chase keeps saying "don't worry... there won't be any late fees or anything". That doesn't make me feel any better.

I didn’t think of the mileage thing. Good point. Shit, I might try and have them buy it back, especially if they want me to fork up 2-4 months of payments because of their internal issues.

fyi - we had to sign a new lease agreement a few days before delivery because they messed up “something” As well

Still haven’t gotten any answers from Rivian on this. Picked up the car March 20th and still no financial packet. Rivian doesn’t even respond to emails about this issue anymore. If anyone has had any success getting to the bottom of this would love to hear…

same problem ! same answer ! same quality ! Rivian made a impressive job to a lot of aspect , but commercial , suspension and AC …….. far far away ….. we only receive an gmail by Dan from customer support that all this problem will not impact our credit score …. and may be we need to sign a new contract …… Somebody know how we can be sure about it ? 20 call, 10 chart, 3 email to local miami rivian office = 1 email by Dan !

Have not received anything in the mail from Chase. But the lease account showed up automatically in my Chase account for credit cards, mortgage etc so was able to set up the autopay in there.

Wow - I had similar issues but only a month delay with getting lease information back. I’m also in NJ and at the time they told me there was a doc NJ required that they didn’t know of at first (took delivery in December as part of the early lease wave). Was super frustrating because I was constantly calling both Rivian and Chase at the time only to get my first bill late, telling me I had a late payment. Would hope Chase doesn’t make that mistake with you because they’d likely shut down the account for three months past due.

Crazy that they have let this go on that long and super concerning. Would have thought the early wave issues would have been addressed for NJ by now.
