First Contact

As we get closer to that elusive 'first delivery' date, I thought it would be of benefit to the community to have a place to share when you are first contacted by one of the guides. With June fast approaching one would think that we would be soon hearing from the guides(?). This thread could be a clearinghouse of information to enable us to anticipate when our number could be called.

I would suggest that in addition to announcing that you have been contacted, it would be helpful to add some additional information such as, your order number, in what region you reside, perhaps even some details on your configuration (color, wheel size, etc.) so that the very clever sleuths on this forum may be able to discern some patterns and draw some conclusions.

My guess is that 'First Contact' ?could be within the next 2 weeks. Let the games begin!

great idea. instead of pre-order number, I would suggest reporting pre-order date (the date you paid the $1000) as that is the only truly sequential value we have for all LE reservation holders.

Also, let's try to keep this thread as clean and on-topic as possible.

Ok, so I missed my guestimate date of MY 'first contact' with a guide, and am one of the thousands that are still waiting.

But the good news is that it seems that at least 4 or 5 of us -have- been contacted and posted details on a number of threads, particularly the 'Rivian Guide Contacted Finally! (For Real)' thread started by 'AdamL'. For those of you that don't want to, or don't have the time to dig though all of the posts, I suggest reading 'Friscorays' summary on the 'Began your Rivian Guide process? Please consider sharing some info' thread.

Since there is a lot of new info being posted daily accompanied by, in my opinion, an overabundance of editorial comment, I suggest that we have a place where a succinct catalogue of guide contact info can be found.

I would humbly suggest that this thread or 'Friscorays' would be a good place to post that info -IF- we can all agree that there are plenty of other threads to expound upon the other important issues of the moment. So lets keep it, as 'electruck' has said, "as on topic as possible".

FWIW....my order number is 1351, placed and paid for on 11/26/2018 configured as an R1T LE, Launch Green/Black Mountain with 20"All-Terrain wheels. Although I am one of the earlier orders, I suspect I will not be contacted anytime soon as I live in the Atlanta area which does not seem to be one of the preferred launch sites.
