Ah I've seen those. Like 6kW a day maybe on high end. That's $1.50 a day. Let's say 263 Sunday days in los angeles. That's like $330 a year in savings. So break even is like 10 years.

If you drive with it on, you'll lose up to 10% range. So 50 miles is 20+kW. 10% deduction is 2.2. so you're really making like 3 kw a day..

I mean if yorie stationary or camping for a week it's understandable but if you commute a lot. I don't understand the need for this.

Really cool idea but solar still lacks that output we need.
