I leased my ‘23 R1T last June and was given a “free tonneau cover” as part of my deal to be installed “at a later date”.

Has anyone else received the same offer? If so, have you had it installed? How long was the wait? I realize they’ve had issues with these and are apparently on Gen 3 of them, but I’d sure like to get mine sooner than later.
Welp, got my truck scheduled for the install. They took it on March 18th, and as of today, they STILL hven't even gotten my truck into the shop... 16 days and counting...

I had a 7,500 mile maintenance and a repair for some water in my front-facing camera scheduled for March 18th and they said they would just install the tonneau while they have it.

Seems like it will be the 2nd version though... Hope that doesn't come back to bite me.

Tech said it would take about 3 hours to install.
Welp, looks like I got the Version 2 of the Large Slat tonneau. But I'm thrilled to have it! (Just hope it works well for a looooong time)

As others said, you have to be the squeaky wheel. I leased in May 24 on a 23 R1T. Two delays but installed in November only because I insisted no more delays (which they tried to do). BTW, I have Gen 2 and have had no issues with it.

Took delivery early September last year, was supposed to have the auto tonneau, but parts backordered, yada yada. Never heard anything. Cut a piece of plywood to slip into the track (left a few inches uncovered, but nothing I put back there was in danger of getting pulled out through that slot!)... when I got called for the 12v battery recall in Feb, I asked about the cover, and they were a little surprised that I didn't have it... got an appointment to install April 22.

Minor hiccoughs there, but I went to the West Sac service center on the 22nd, they gave me a loaner (Gen2, quad motor, probably the performance upgrade - ZOOM!!)... called me near end of day to come get my truck, and BAM! there it is! Looks and feels sturdy, the sound of retracting and closing a little grindy, hope it holds up, but so far so good!

Moral: If you don't have it yet, give them a poke. Should take less than a day to install.

Wow! All in one day. They (Orlando) took five weeks to install mine. Maybe Rivian service is getting better.
