Trying to figure out a way to mount a 20”full size spare on the roof cross bars on my R1S. I realize it’s heavy and cumbersome, real estate in the trunk is tight with my ARB fridge and myriad other items. I’m not inclined towards a swing tire mount.
Any suggestions for mounting it on crossbars, primarily Offroad use?
Thanks in advance

I have 84x56 Rhino Rack mounted on 3 crossbars for my spare tire.
This was first test drive.
You could probably do something similar on the back 2 crossbars mount points.
But do so at your own risk

Nice! I’m looking to do this as well. How exactly is the rack mounted? Are they the normal Rivian crossbars? Does rhino rack offer a way to mount the platform directly to these crossbars? I looked into the Yakima and it seemed like I’d need to use the clamp system, which seemed cumbersome and would bring the rack higher than I’d like.

I thought that installing 3 of them would have the middle crossbar slightly higher than the front and rear ones.

Also, how difficult is it to access the spare from up there?

@Desiboy I am in the same situation...did you ever try mounting a tire on just the rear 2 mounting points? What was the outcome?
